| About our Projects |
Bishop Ben and Mary Bahati are the directors
G.F.E. Street Boys, Street Girls, Orphanages and Feeding
station in Kenya, East Africa. In the Kakamega station
alone the GFE feeds 120 kids everyday, there is also
a boys orphanage in the same province with 48 boys,
while in Eldoret there is a girls orphanage with 23
girls. The GFE Children’s Homes cares for the
needy children left homeless by the ravages of AIDs,
tribal wars and Famine. They provide life giving food,
medicine and educational programs that teach children
to write and speak English and arithmetic. With these
basic skills children can sustain themselves. These
children are also exposed to the Gospel of Christ and
many are saved. Some will pass on this saving knowledge
to others. It only costs $30.00 a month to meet the
needs of each child ,food, clothing and accommodation
at this orphanage, including all tuition, books and
bus fare cost! Sponsors will receive biographical information
and reports.

Orphanage and Feeding program
|
The other reason as to why G.F.E. exist is that, we’re
establishing orphanages to help orphans and street Children
who got no hope, and giving them hope and giving their life
a meaning too.
So far we are providing food daily to 120 children in a feeding
station in Kakamega District,
Western, Kenya, we feed them with porridge at 10.00 a.m. In
the largest slum in Africa called Mathare
in Nairobi, we are feeding 175 street children. In Kitale,
we are feeding 400 children in the poorest slum called Kipsongo
(Kipsongo meaning place of the dogs). Some of these kids
leave with guardians and some are completely orphans while
some have just
a single parent but is extremely poor. We show them love,
teach them the gospel, academic education and feed them. God
provided for ½ an acre of the land and we bought it
for this project. We are still trusting God to provide finances
to make it one full acre.
Separately we are also operating a boy’s orphanage
in the same province at a village known as Kambiri. Right
now we are providing accommodation, food, healthcare, love,
sharing the Gospel and taking all the 48 boys to school, most
of these boys were street kids who we picked sniffing glue
to forget hunger pain while sleeping out in the cold without
food and love. All these boys are sponsored.
My wife, Mary is also operating another girls orphanage in
Eldoret ,Rift Valley province
of Kenya where she has 25 girls some of whom are as young
as 5 yrs old.
Most of them, their parents died of HIV/AIDS and there is
more need to help them and
educate them as girl child because no one like to help girl
child as boys are being helped a lot.
The lord has provided a land through generous friends to build
a girls orphanage and the land is measuring 6 acres. The construction
is starting very soon then we move the girls from rented premises
to the new ones. |
